Comfortable Baby
Bedding in colorful Themes

Whether you are shopping for linens or a mattress, there is a great variety of baby bedding available that is comfortable and soft. It comes in many colors and themes. During its first few months, the baby will spend more than half the time sleeping. So it's worthwhile to look for bedding that you and your baby will enjoy.

When looking for linen, it can be fun to select from simple or animal printed patterns that children love. Keep in mind that safety is the main concern. Purchase sheets that fit tightly and make sure there are no loose threads that could tangle your baby's fingers or hands.

You will need receiving blankets to cuddle your baby. These are thin blankets made mostly from 100% cotton. They should be very soft, color safe and machine washable. Quite often they become security blankets for your baby and toddler. Normal size is about 30 by 36 inches and the price is about $5-6 for one blanket. You can reduce the cost by buying in packs of 3 or 5.

A mattress usually has to be purchased in addition to the crib. It is an important item, since it will be used more than most other baby items. The baby will use the mattress about 2 years in the crib and another 2 years if the crib is converted to a toddler bed.

There are two types of mattresses: foam and innerspring. Which one is better? A good quality foam mattress is as good as a good quality innerspring mattress. When buying either mattress, be sure it is firm and fits tightly. Price range is about $40-160.

Looking for baby bedding can be enjoyable, but be sure to purchase good quality and safe items that will be comfortable for your child. PopShops™ affiliate stores
