Baby Care Products to treat minor Ailments
When your baby gets hurt or has a minor ailment, these baby care products will help treat
minor problems. If your baby gets very sick or if you are uncertain about your baby's health, you should call your
doctor.
The following information should be available:
- Name and phone number of the family doctor
- Name and phone number of a neighbor
- Name and phone number of a relative
The following products should be in the medicine cabinet:
- Tylenol or Motrin to treat minor pain and fever
- A nasal aspirator or bulb syringe to clear the baby's nose
- Diaper rash ointment to treat the baby's irritated skin
- Petroleum jelly to prevent diaper rash
- Neosporin for minor cuts and scrapes
- Calamine lotion for minor sunburn and insect bites
- Sunscreen lotion, insect repellent
- Various sizes of bandages
- Infant or child thermometer
- Sharp scissors
- Tweezers to remove splinters
- First aid manual
