A Baby Changing
Table for Convenience

A baby changing table is not a necessity, but it makes changing diapers much easier. It is a very convenient place to change your baby's diapers.

Tables come in a variety of styles and colors. Dressers are available that can also be used as changing tables. Most tables have drawers and shelves to store items like diapers, wipes, ointment and small toys.

Features to consider:
1. Sturdy construction
2. Safety straps to keep the baby from rolling off the table
3. Guard rails on all four sides
4. Wheels to move the table from room to room

Never leave the baby unattended, even if she is strapped in. It is a good practice to keep one hand on the baby at all times.Price range is about $100-200.

All the items to change diapers should be in arm's reach. Items include diapers, wipes, baby lotion and baby powder.

Major suppliers of changing tables are: Angel Line, Child Craft, Da Vinci, Graco, Storkcraft and others.

Once the baby is older and heavier than 30 lbs, most diaper changes will be done on room floors. A good waterproof changing pad to protect the carpet is recommended.
