Choose from a
Variety of Baby Cribs

Selecting baby cribs is an important decision, considering that your child will spend much time in it. Most cribs are available in a wide variety of styles and various features. You want to choose a crib that is safe and comfortable. Therefore, review the styles, colors and features available before buying a crib:

1. A standard crib is a suitable for most bedrooms. It comes with a single drop side or double drop sides. The drop side should be easy and noise free to operate.

2. A convertible crib is more expensive, but can be converted to a toddler bed. It will save you money for new bedding when your child outgrows the crib.

3. A round crib is good for small spaces and is very practical.

4. A portable crib collapses and is therefore easy to transport.

Features to consider:
1. Rolling casters enable the parent to move the crib, which is important when changing sheets and bumpers. Casters should have a locking mechanism to prevent the crib being pushed around by children.
2. The mattress height should be adjustable. As the child grows, the mattress can then be lowered.
3. Plastic covers for the top rails of the crib prevent your toddler from chewing on the wood.
4. Attachable toys provide entertainment and stimulation.

Price for a sturdy, well made crib is about $150-400. More expensive ones are of better quality, have better designs and have extra features.
