Baby Moses Basket
A baby moses basket provides a comfortable and secure sleeping place for the infant. Most are made from palm. The more expensive ones are made from wicker. Wicker baskets tend to last longer.
The basket has two handles, which meet in the middle when it is carried. The handles should be sturdy. When carrying the basket, hold one hand underneath to support the baby. A variety of styles is available. Generally, a complete set of bedding and a foam mattress is included. Some come with a fabric covered hood. A basket is used for about the first 3 months of the baby's age or until the baby weighs about 20 lbs. It is a great place for the baby to sleep away from home.
