Baby Pacifiers can
calm a fussy Baby

When the baby needs to be calmed, baby pacifiers will usually do the job. For the first few months the sucking action can also help develop some of the jaw muscles. But it is a good idea to discourage the use after about a year. Pacifiers might change the shape of the baby's jaw, if they are used too long.

There is a wide range available in many colors and shapes. The most common one is the round tip. An angled one with a wide tip is also popular.

Before you use a new one, it is best to boil it a few minutes. After every use, wash it with warm water and soap.

Price range is about $3-5, but when bought in 2 packs the price is lower. There are also pacifiers available with a clip, which can be attached to clothing. Price for clip ons is about $3-6.
