Get good fitting
Baby Shoes

Baby shoes are not a necessity, but if you get them, make sure they are comfortable and soft. Generally, when the baby starts to take steps, it is time to look for shoes. Most of the time it is good for the baby to walk barefoot. At times, when it is dangerous to go barefoot, a pair of walking shoes are needed.

Look for the shoes to be flexible and soft with non slip soles for good support. Most babies have wide feet, so be sure the shoes fit right. Keep the clearance between the toes and the front of the shoe to about a 1/2 inch. Check the fit and condition of the shoes regularly.

Should you use laces or Velcro? Velcro is more convenient, but babies learn to open and close the shoes quickly. If you use laces, make a double knot, so they don't come undone.
