Baby Shower Invitations

If you decide to organize a baby shower for your relative or friend, baby shower invitations need to be prepared and mailed out.

Some of the information you will need:

• Find a date that will be convenient for most of the expected guests.
• Prepare a guest list and review this list with the mother to be. If it is a surprise shower, review the list with another friend.
• Choose a location that will be convenient and large enough for the number of guests expected.
• Decide, if a surprise shower would be appropriate.
• Decide, if you want to use a theme.
• Do you want to make it a formal or an informal shower?
• Once you have all the information collected, you are ready to send out the invitations.

They should be mailed out about 3-6 weeks prior to the shower. You can buy or have invitations printed using your computer. A package of 25 with envelopes will cost about $30-32.



A sample wording you can use:

We will have a baby shower to celebrate Melissa's new baby.

We will meet
Saturday, July 7     12:00 - 2:00 PM
