Baby Swing Safety Tips

Baby swing safety is very important. Before you buy a swing, check this list of desired features:

1. Always follow the manufacturer's assembly instructions.
2. Check the weight limit for the swing.
3. Swings should have a wide base.4. A safety strap is important. A 5 point harness is best.
5. Swings should have a recline for infants and an upright position for older babies.
6. A flip out tray is very convenient. It allows to remove a sleeping baby gently.
7. Multi swing speeds allow you to use a slow speed for young babies and faster speeds for older babies.
8. Stop using the swing when the baby tries to climb out of the seat.

Swings are a good way to soothe a fussy baby or keep a baby entertained with music or toys attached to the tray. But never leave the baby unattended in the swing.
