The baby carrier is designed to distribute the baby's weight between the hips and thighs. An infant insert supports the newborn like a baby sling, while keeping both hands of the parent free to work. Price is about $92.

• It can be worn in the front, back or on the hip and can easily be shifted from the back to the front.
• Padded straps and a waist belt make it comfortable for the parent.

The Ergo carrier infant insert is a specially padded, shaped cushion that fits in the baby carrier. It can be adjusted just right for your baby. It was designed to extend the use of the carrier. If you use the insert, you don't need to buy a baby sling. The insert is recommended to be used for babies up to 4-6 months of age. Price is about $25 and it includes shipping.
