Infant Supply List
for the first time Parent

The infant supply list below suggests baby items that might be needed during the first 3 months of the baby's age.



Diapers and Supplies

• 1-2 packs of disposable newborn baby diapers or cloth diapers for 2-3 days (about 2-3 dozens)
• 1 package of disposable baby wipes or one dozen cloth wipes
• diaper pail
• 1 package of diaper pail liners, diaper bags
• diaper rash ointment
• baby powder

Bathing

• 1-2 hooded towels, 2 soft towels
• 4-6 baby washcloths
• baby body wash, baby soap, baby shampoo
• baby lotion
• baby nail clipper
• infant bath tub

• 6-8 onesies
• 3-5 one piece pajamas
• 1-2 baby hats
• 2-3 pair soft socks
• 2-4 daytime outfits
• sweater or jacket

Feeding

• breastfeeding: nursing bras, breast pads, breast pump
• 8-10 small bottles, 8-10 nipples and rings
• 3-4 bibs, 6-8 burp cloths
• bottle warmer, bottle brush
• bottle dry rack

Baby Bedding

• moses basket or cradle, baby crib
• 4 receiving blankets
• crib mattress, crib sheets, bumpers
• baby blanket

Miscellaneous Baby Products

• infant car seat
• sling or soft carrier
• 3-4 pacifiers
• baby monitor
• changing table
