Jogging Strollers
for Exercise

Jogging strollers have three large wheels and wide inflatable tires. They provide a smoother ride than conventional strollers, but cost also about 2 times as much.

In general, the larger wheels are good for running or for use on dirt roads. Smaller wheels are better for walking and are easier to turn. Basically, there are three wheel sizes available:
1. 20" wheels are good for running and for use on dirt roads.
2. 16" wheels are better for fast walking or jogging on regular and dirt roads.
3. 12" wheels are good for regular walking.

Look for the following features:

  • A padded and adjustable handle will be more comfortable.
  • Easy open and folding.
  • A safety harness to buckle in children.
  • A reclining seat will make it more comfortable for the child.
  • A sun canopy to protect the child from the sun or wind.
  • A handbrake for safety reasons.
  • Storage pockets to store baby items and toys.
  • An aluminum frame will make the stroller lighter and easier to push.
