As a general rule, you will wear the same bra that you normally wear. What increases is the cup, which might increase from a B size to an E size or higher. A properly fitting bra should cover the entire breast. The bra should have a snug fit, but put no pressure on the breasts. If possible, get the bra professionally fitted. A good bra should be stretchy and absorbent. Material should be cotton and it should be machine washable. A supply of at least 3 bras is suggested. Price range is about $15-50. In addition to the bra you need to get cotton pads that can be tugged inside the bra to absorb any leakage. Nursing bras come in three different types: 1. Softcup bras are popular with women. The bras provide support without an underwire. An underwire could clog a milk duct. Many styles and colors available. Softcup bras come with flaps or without flaps. Bras with flaps usually open from the top to open the breast for feeding the baby. Bras without flaps are designed to be lifted above the breast or moved to the side for feeding.
3. Seamless bras are usually made of a cotton/lycra blend, which offers a seamless look. They
are available with a softcup or an underwire. There are several styles available. Be sure the bras fit properly.
