There are basically
two Types of baby slings

Basic types of baby slings:
1. A strap on model is made of padded fabric with leg holes. It is put over a shoulder and waist belt. The baby is kept in an upright position. An infant faces in and an older baby can face in or out.
2. A sling, also called a wrap, consists of fabric that is put over one shoulder and around your waist.

Using a sling has these advantages:
a. You can breastfeed discretely.
b. It reduces crying and colic.
c. It keeps both hand free. You can do other chores.

The Mobi Wrap costs about $40. It is a long piece of fabric, which is wrapped around your body. It comes with detailed instructions.

The Ultimate Baby Wrap is a versatile front carrier. Price is about $40. The baby can be put to face forward, facing the adult or can be positioned on your hip. The carrier includes two fabric panels that wrap around the shoulder and lower back.

The Playtex Hip Hammock is designed to be worn over one shoulder and the opposite hip. Price is about $65. It is comfortable and easy to use.
